Abstract: This presentation opens with an opinion poll comparing re- sponses from session participants with typical collaborative be- haviors in virtual settings, highlighting those that interfere with positive, constructive interactions. Tracing the continuum from bad to worst, it moves from online communicators’ pet peeves to increasingly uninhibited virtual conduct, all the way to down- right toxic behavior. Vivid examples of actual cases are provided along the way. The session concludes with class activities that train students in respect and cooperation, plus some classroom management tips that will enhance your instructional atmos- phere.
