Abstract: The utilization of 3D virtual worlds can bridge the gap for online instruction that often times can be missing the collaborative and community like aspects that occur within a traditional classroom. 3D worlds can engage learners and inspire incidental learning that is hard to incorporate within traditional LMS systems. This presentation will discuss how a virtual world and 3D glasses like Oculus Rift can be implemented in a pragmatic and cost effective manner.
