Abstract: Claroline Connect is a collaborative eLearning and eWorking platform (Learning Management System) released under the GPL Open Source license. It allows organizations worldwide ranging from universities to schools and from companies to associations to create and administer courses and collaboration spaces over the web. Claroline Connect is compatible with GNU/Linux, Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. It is based on open-source technologies like PHP (Symfony2 framework) and MySQL. The platform is organized around the concept of workspaces created by users under the scope of a course or a pedagogical activity. Each workspace provides a list of tools enabling the user to: - Create & administer course objects and upload documents - Create quizzes and exercises - Create user groups - Create Websites - Create MOOCs etc. Claroline Connect allows great freedom of action to all users, regardless of their status to enable them to be active and creative and to reclaim the learning process.
