Abstract: This paper addresses the range and nature of online video-instructional repositories (OVIRs) available across the social sciences, finding great variation in number, kind, and quality. Economics and Psychology have the most OVIRs dedicated to them, although the former has substantially stronger ones in light of greater funding support. Political Science stands out in having only one devoted to teaching through media. Original-content videos are most commonly employed, while edited videos from existing programming are the least common. The paper offers suggestions in closing to facilitate OVIR development and collection growth.
