Digital Technologies for Training "Inquiry Physics" Teachers
Brief Paper: Other
ID: 50687
Abstract: The "Inquiry Physics" teacher training course aims to prepare physics teachers as inquiry guides for high school physics students who elect to carry out an advanced inquiry project and gain matriculation credit. As part of their training the teachers need to acquire knowledge and practical skills in the use of digital technologies for performing inquiry, for accessing resources and for communication. This report on work in progress describes how video analysis, modeling software and collaborative information sharing were employed in the first of a two year course, and demonstrates the potential of these technologies for facilitating the inquiry process.
