Abstract: This paper introduces a scenario based approach of creating authenticity in digital learning simulations by using complex and real scenarios from practice related situation within the health care professions. With this paper we want to discuss new educational pathways of digital learning. We are developing a serious game, which allows health care students to authentically encounter complex professional situations in a motivational, flexible and realistic way.
