What did Students Say in Online Peer Critique?

Abstract: This presentation reports a longitudinal study investigating peer critiques conducted in the online learning environment. Sixty-four graduate students participated in the study in discussion-based online courses. The setting of the study is a large urban university in the United States. The instructor designs and adopts strategies to enhance the quality of online peer critique. Students post their projects online and conduct peer critiques on their projects. The study lasts six semesters. Content analysis is applied in coding student critiques. The result of the content analysis will be discussed in the presentation.
