Abstract: Despite the widespread use and great impact of open educational resources (OER) on university teaching, little research has been conducted to investigate OER adoption among university educators and its implications for university policies. The purpose of the present study was to address this issue employing a survey method. The survey explored the factors in?uencing OER acceptance by university educators across different cultural contexts, applying the Uni?ed Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). Based on the survey results, our presentation will report the dominant determinants for predicting OER acceptance of university educators in the three different cultures (Korea, Japan and the US) and discuss effects of culture, age, gender and experience on the predictors of OER acceptance.
