Using a Video Conferencing System to Expand Student Reach
Abstract: Technological developments can support higher education institutions to reach students and offer them opportunities to attend classes from remote locations. This poster aims to describe a recent deployment of a video conferencing solution at a Teacher Training College in the United Arab Emirates. The video conferencing set-up solution allows our graduate students from two Emirates to attend classes simultaneously. The deployment of the video conferencing classes is at early stages. This poster also presents an evaluation framework consisting of formative and summative approaches to assess the implementation. Both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods are adopted.
