Abstract: The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) regulates training for accountancy students. SAICA suggests that graduates lack pervasive skills in the workplace and calls on lecturers to aid with the development of students’ pervasive skills. Teaching and learning research across disciplines suggest that the use of games in the classrooms can help students to acquire pervasive skills. Few educational games have been developed for tertiary education in accountancy.
