Abstract: Blended Learning is a new approach to integrating technology into teaching and learning. These collaborative applications of Google Sides are aligned with new computer science and digital fluency standards and ISTE standards.

Objectives

After the workshop teachers will learn how to use Google Slides in an innovative way to integrate technology into teaching and learning aligned with new New York State Education Department (NYSED) computer science and digital fluency standards Students can collaboratively create an infographic using explore tool, page setup, and graphic features to research topics and communicate ideas and assess learning. Discussion boards in small groups can be created by creating post it notes around a topic or multimedia product. Teachers can create virtual bitmoji classroom sharing resources, displaying student work in a digital format, creating newsletters, virtual bulletin boards, or public information board.
