Abstract: For far too long, instructional designers' primary focus has been to deliver a training project on schedule and within budget. That goal is not wrong, but it leaves out a critical factor of the equation: the end user. In this brief paper, the researcher will attempt to put the end user back in focus for instructional design projects. First, the researcher will explain why traditional project management methods (ADDIE) are counterproductive and then give an alternative option (Agile) that will work in an online learning environment.
