Abstract: The aim of this project is to enhance a gender balanced use of ICT at our department, to facilitate learning and collaboration with others using ICT-tools in different learning projects. Another objective is to recruit a group of female front-runners in the ICT-education field. They will be actively involved already in the setting of agendas, design phases of Internet-based education, planning and institutional strategies for new technologies at the department as well as evaluation and follow-up. The project will facilitate learning with ICT in five different ways/settings: 1. Individual choices of learning mode, pace, set up etc. 2. “Kick-start session” – large scale education – short time period. 3. Integration in existing formal courses given by the institute. 4. Informal learning situations – “Lunch Talks” and other ways. 5. Online/guest speakers – international experts on ICT-learning and gender issues. 6. Emphasis on social aspects and emotional support.
