Potential Uses for Weblogs in Electronic Course Delivery
Abstract: Electronic course delivery now plays a major role within the educational strategies of many organisations. The effective implementation of this approach depends upon the selection of appropriate models to underpin the design and development of resources and the fabrication of operational systems. The use of suitable methods and techniques for the realisation of online teaching and learning processes is also a major imperative. One of the fundamental objectives of these processes is the development of skills through the creation and sharing of knowledge. Knowledge management techniques therefore play a vital role in electronic course delivery systems - both for students and for support staff. This paper discusses important roles that weblogs might play with respect to the knowledge management issues associated with this approach to educational delivery.
