Abstract: This paper reports on the usage of an integrated system by both students and teachers. The Online Examination System (OES) provides an intuitive user interface for preparation, administration, execution and evaluation of online-exams. Teachers are supported in creating a pool of exercises and media to be used within. The usage of various types of exercises is possible, the most of which can be evaluated automatically. New type of exercises can be added. Extensive statistical evaluations are possible and programmable. The student user interface is adjusted to maximum comfort and navigation scenarios, so that students can focus on the answers instead of the user interface. The system itself received improvements since 2003 and is in use for exams at the RWTH Aachen University
