Abstract: There is a growing literature about the quality of distance education. The authors argue that the issue should be quality education no matter what the delivery method. They further suggest one of the major determients of quality is the level of interaction throughout the learning process. Examples are discussed that illustrate why and how interaction is so important in the delivery of quality education.
