Abstract: Distance learning presents unique challenges for the supervision of the field experiences of students in teacher education programs. This paper will explore ways in which various new technologies (e.g., voice over IP, blogs, instant text and voice messaging, web-based document sharing) can promote efficient and effective supervision at a distance.
