E-Learning within the Classroom: Examining the Complexity before Measuring the Impact
Full Paper
ID: 17453
Abstract: This paper discusses a number of factors that could influence and determine the effectiveness of an e-learning system. Assessing the impact of technology on learning is generally complex as it depends on various interconnected factors difficult to isolate and rationalise. Our focus is on a number of key factors: the subject area and its consistency with the curriculum orientation, the characteristics of the system, the students’ characteristics and attitudes to learning, the teachers’ perceptions, and finally, the methods of assessment and relevant measures of learning.
