Abstract: The aims of this paper are to introduce the advance Technological Learning Environment (TLE). This uses a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Symantic Web (web 2.0) [1},[5] in the design of a customisable Flexible Learning Platform (FLP), creating a three dimensional learning environment, incorporating novel mobile technology and haptics feedbacks for dental training. The FLP via use of SOA, allows the services and objects structure to respond to the demands and experiences of the user(s) on various technological platforms and IT infrastructure. This innovative development produces the next generation of application, by developing a common service level platform for communication and web experiences through the use of multisensural perceptions - Web 3.0. Furthermore, this paper will review the case studies, and extend the current research activities of the Phantom and Ivident projects of the Dental Profession. [4], [6]
