Abstract: A portfolio has been utilised for the demonstration of achievement over a number of years in a range of fields and this has moved into a format using electronic portfolios. E-portfolios allow the assessment of placement utilising evidence-based learning for academic accreditation. Profile is an e-portfolio, which has been designed by the Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) at the University West of England, Bristol. For the past two years Profile has been trialled as a medium of facilitating e-portfolios within a clinical placement setting.
