Abstract: Most business undergraduate classes in Universities today can be measured in hundreds of students. Delivering an educational experience to classes of this size is a challenge. In particular, the diversity of experience, aptitude and motivation between students in large classes can pose a particular challenge to traditional teaching methods. In this paper, the impact of this diversity is discussed with particular reference to delivering an IT literacy course. A teaching strategy that can cope with the challenges of a diverse student body while meeting the challenges inherent in large group teaching is described. Quantitative feedback as to the results of this teaching strategy is also presented.
