Abstract: In the context of education in Québec, teachers from elementary and high schools must collect data to make a judgement on skills development and knowledge acquisition. In a competency assessment and for the information, a wide variety of tools allows the teacher to identify and record observations. The presence and integration of new technologies in the classroom management led us to consider and check the interest of teachers for a tool, which can be practical and easy to use. We have therefore worked to develop software for the handheld, such as Palm, iPod touch and iPhone. The research was carried out in 2006-2008 in the context of a Master programm.
