Share Paper: A Qualitative Review of Research on Learning with Collaborative Concept Maps

Abstract: This paper discusses theories and research pertaining to the use of collaborative concept maps for learning. Although the traditional method of concept mapping is often used to decipher individual’s level of knowledge structure, concept maps have also been used to stimulate collaborative activities.While concept mapping research has generated decades of research attention, there is limited understanding of the collaborative processes of concept mapping. The review concludes with suggestions for future research in collaborative concept mapping.
