Abstract: IDA is designed to improve teaching and learning and to ensure student learning outcomes are meeting the overall university/college mission. IDA accomplishes this by fusing faculty development, assessment, course design and teaching style into a comprehensive and informative picture of classroom quality and learning. IDA benefits students and faculty by providing insights for better course design, more interactivity, clear instructions, writing and measuring learning outcomes, and providing data for Deans and Administrators. IDA's ability to provide increased data collection showing levels of progress, increases in retention rates, and outcomes tied to institutional and program goals resonate with Academic Administration. In this presentation, Clarkson and TCU will share the results from the IDA pilot and the future direction of IDA.
