Abstract: Online homework is an accepted alternative way to replace traditional paper-and-pencil homework. Students’ achievement can be improved by online homework with feedback (Bulter & Zerr, 2005; Zerr, 2007). This study examines the effects of two types of online homework feedback on college students’ algebra achievement. Participants were randomly assigned into the control group receiving verification feedback, or the experimental group receiving task-specific adapted feedback. The results showed that the experimental group had a higher average score in homework achievement.
