Share Paper: Teacher candidates’ perceptions of the efficacy of the use of webcasts as online supplemental instruction in traditional education courses

Abstract: Research examined candidates’ perceptions (n = 47) related to the use of a series of webcasts as online supplemental instruction for standards based projects in three junior level special education courses at one university in the Pacific Northwest. Results indicated that a majority of candidates like the webcasts but preferred their use in conjunction with the instructor’s presentation of the assignments. Results also indicated that candidates like the webcast mode of delivery best when designed for universal access, using video, audio, and written text to support content.
