Abstract: The authors are currently collecting lesson plans and are developing an online environment created to share educational materials with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on course instruction settings. This paper reports the result of an attitude survey at pilot schools of the research project. Teachers at eight elementary schools and two junior high schools in Japan have made a reply about their intentions regarding the use of ICT on school coursework. Our survey shows teachers’ hopes and fears, and promise for stimulation of learning. The survey also reflects teachers’ flexibility for the use of ICT in the classroom depends on his/her gender and service years.
