Abstract: The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of Cell Phone-based assessment strategies is effective in evaluating EFL Jordanian University students' achievement in basic English sentence structures. To achieve the aim of the study, a pre/post-test assessment was constructed. The test consisted of 20 multiple choice questions selected from the curriculum of the course (Appendix 1).The subjects of the study consisted of 178 students distributed in four sections, which were selected purposefully enrolling in Al al-Bait University during the first semester of the academic year 2010/2011.
