Abstract: It is common that the coursework for internship preparation is offered through an intensive one-week session in a face-to-face setting, so called “P2 Boot Camp”, in which students are intended to master comprehensive concepts of knowledge and practice such as how to identify and analyze opportunities for reducing costs and improving environmental performance in a manufacturing or other large facility. Initiated by the devoted instructor who has concerned about the practicality of student learning completed within a week of time, a semester-long, online version of the P2 internship preparation course was suggested as a viable option for quality learning. In this paper, the authors examined their practice of designing and developing an accredited online course for pollution prevention (P2) internship preparation.
