Abstract: The use of web technologies is now common in the university sector, and students are expected to have access to the necessary hardware and software to take advantage of this form of delivery in the teaching and learning process. This expectation applies to on-campus study as well as for ‘distance’ education modes. Survey results are mixed as to student reaction, and a closer inspection of the results raises questions about the minority who are not satisfied with web-enhancement, and raises the issues of access and equity.
