Abstract: “It’s hard to think outside the box, but it’s about time to do that.” We needed new approaches and new practices to stimulate our students and get the best from computers & mobile devices. iClasse® (iClassroom™) implemented in 2009, is a innovative project that has led us to develop new teaching and staff training methods. Our purpose is to promote technology innovative practices across Montreal’s schools and districts. iCl@sse® is a 1-on-1 computer constructivist paperless program, in which students are involved in shaping their learning. Team work and strong self-esteem are major key components of this classroom. In this paper, we will describe how instruction is organized in iClasse, the pedagogical concepts that guide us and the video-based professionnal development implemented this year: StarTek. The development of this 21 century classroom and introduction of technology is based on 8 years of research and experimenting in my classroom and on a review of litterature on ICT.
