Abstract: This case study attempts to leverage digital storytelling for a participatory learning culture, in particular within informal learning contexts. It was situated in learning the concepts of size and distance for a group of Singapore prospective teachers. They were encouraged to create a digital storytelling based upon their own experience of night sky gazing and related multimodal modeling activities (e.g., drawing, 3D physical modeling and 3D software) during a two-day field trip.
