Brief Paper
ID: 37730
Abstract: The purpose of the study was to explore the potential of using a mobile-based vocabulary learning application to supplement classroom learning. The mobile learning component incorporated in this research context consisted of two types of mobile devices: smartphones and tablet PCs. The findings of the study indicate that: (1) vocabulary learning with mobile technology is positively accepted by university students; (2) engaging students with mobile technology in a self-directed learning process can have a positive impact on their vocabulary learning performance.
