Abstract: During the 1990's a driving force towards the one-to-one laptop initiative in U.S. education was due to the technology proficiencies for teachers and students developed by curriculum specialists (Center for Digital Education, 2004). Recent research found students expect instructors to engage them in the learning process through the use of technology (Dahlstrom, Dziuban, & Walker, 2012). Simple infusion of iPads in the classroom can occur by taking photots of hands-on creations, conducting online research, and creating annotated notes with popular apps such as Notability or iAnnotate.
