We are constantly looking for new ways to deliver professional development training that will appropriately prepare science teachers with the basic skills, techniques, and applications that are crucial for conducting scientific research in a laboratory setting. Through professional development of high school teachers, the training intended to infuse an earlier introduction to health-related research into high school curricula. The recent training program for teachers aimed to increase student involvement in health-related research through highly trained educators applying research techniques into their curriculum and encouraging students to pursue health-related research careers. This papers looks at the implementation of videos showcasing the molecular biology techniques that will be taught during the summer professional development program at the Center for Cardiovascular Research.
