Supplemental Use of an Educational On-Line Resource in Support of an Academic Reading Program
Abstract: This presentation details a web-based reading project currently in use at a four-year Japanese university. For this project, the on-line services of an educational company are utilized in order to supplement in-class reading activities and lectures. The on-line services provide up-to-the-minute detailed information on student reading performance as well as other information useful in making revisions to the overall curriculum. A comprehensive description of the on-line services as well as a rationale for the use of these services will be provided.
