Abstract: More universities are providing online or distance courses nowadays, however, it is also a challenge for teachers and instructional designers to create effective online courses in different subject areas and adopt different learning styles. The first part of this paper is a summary of the resources that have been used in our online courses. We adopted multiple online educational resources and tools to enrich the learning environment and to meet the course objectives. The second part of this paper is accessibility. We will talk about the Universal Design Principles and demonstrate multimedia materials that we created for online courses or for students’ workshops and how to make them more accessible by adopting the Universal Design Principles.
