Abstract: The present article focuses on the presence of the Distance Education modality for people deprived from freedom. Offering Distance Education courses embodiment in Prison Units carries out broad goals. Such objectives attend the educational feature, sociocultural and humanizing, once that, besides providing technological education professionalizing in nature, the courses provide a chance for sentenced-students to return to social life more prepared to take active part in society.
