Abstract: In the 21st century, more emphasis is put on the importance of cultivating the critical thinking skills of students. However, university students do not usually show good critical thinking (CT) performance. In order to help undergraduate students improve their critical thinking performance, project-based learning and problem-based learning (PBL) were used in multimedia design course. Accordingly, this study developed a PBL activity to cultivate university students’ CT skills. Eighty students participated in this study.
