Paying it forward: Networked learning as a segue to new pedagogies and paradigms

Abstract: There is quite a discrepancy, in this time of educational disruption and realignment, between ideas and mandates at the macro level and the realities of implementation. This paper examines networked learning as an extension of self-directed learning theory and how participation in connected learning practices can be used as support for faculty as they transition to new methods of pedagogy, adapting to new environments.
