Free Multimedia-based Social Web Tools for Online Instruction

Abstract: Although online instruction is not a completely new instructional paradigm, adding audio and video components with multimedia-based social web tools could be an effective way to engage online learners. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce three free effective multimedia-based social web tools for online instruction. The three tools are: VoiceThread, Voki, and Eyejot. Description, application, and issues of the tools for online instruction will be provided.
