Share Paper: Can Serious Games Prevent Plagiarism?

Abstract: Plagiarism has become a big concern for educators. Despite numerous attempts to prevent plagiarism, it remains a challenge. The current study evaluated the effectiveness of a plagiarism education game called “Goblin Threat”, by comparing the plagiarism recognition performance of university students who played the game to those who did not have access to it. Using games for educational purposes can result in successful learning because they are interactive and engaging and therefore students may pay closer attention.
