Abstract: This session describes simulation-based learning solutions for students pursuing certification in Forensic Health Care. Students get ‘close to real-life’ simulation experiences to improve interviewing skills and crime investigation. A suite of three self-paced scenarios was constructed. These included: 1) Interview between student and sexual assault victim for therapeutic assessment. The goal is to ascertain traumatic response patterns in the victim and determine interventions to promote adaptive coping; 2) Interview with an offender accused of domestic violence.
