Invariance of Factor Structure in Different Booklets of a Large Scale Test
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to test the invariance of factor structure in different booklets (test groups) of the Financial Management course mid-term exam, which approximately 160.000 Business Administration students took in 2014-2015 Fall Term in Anadolu University Open Education System. Within this scope, to specify the factor structure of the test, the whole data is put through exploratory factor analyses. Then, a type of structural equation modeling, multi-group factor analysis is carried out in order to confirm whether invariance of factor structure exists in four different test groups. As a result, it is found that perfect measure of goodness of fit statistics to factor in all groups composed of different structural Model C. Lastly, the mean of scores obtained by all students in each test group is compared with variance analysis and it is revealed that there is statistical significant difference, which can be ignored.
