Abstract: This study reports the findings from a 7-year program evaluation of an online graduate program in seed technology and business at a large U.S. Midwestern university. Findings indicate that many course instructors have experienced positive aspects of online teaching, such as, reaching students who could not pursue an advanced degree any other way and interactions with students in the online discussions. Some of the challenges course instructors identified were, obstacles ranging from time management issues, to course planning and communication and technical difficulties.
