Late to the party: an implementation playbook for a university startup charged with building quality online learning programs from scratch
Best Practices Session
ID: 47665
Abstract: This session will present successful strategy and operational frameworks implemented by a medium-sized east coast university challenged to supplement its traditional campus-based curricula with new online programs. Participants will learn both what did and what did not work to enable a tiny academic office to generate over 11,000 annual online enrollments in 15 new programs in less than three years. The session will be presented by the director of the academic unit responsible for managing these online initiatives and will conclude with critical reflections on the challenges and opportunities that will impact the university’s online momentum in the future.
