Abstract: This presentation examines of value of multiple learner submissions per written assignment in French within a window of opportunity with feedback from the teacher. The feedback contains both specific items the learner needs to revise together with a tentative grade or score. The final submission receives, at the assignment deadline, a definitive grade and feedback. With online submission and assessment within an electronic classroom, the opportunity for optimal results are enhanced. I propose to show examples taken from an upper-division French grammar and composition course, as well as, comments that students provided the teacher on the merits of the process, which was overwhelmingly positive. The electronic submission process makes it possible to easily show typical errors or problems to the entire class anonymously, while respecting the privacy of submissions.
