Abstract This paper explores the roles and dispositions of online instructors in higher education. The study will determine the predominant roles and dispositions based on analysis of results from a validated 45 item questionnaire which will be distributed to higher education faculty. The questionnaire will identify the perceptions of online instruction and the dominant practices and those priorities of those online instructors. Results will inform current and future online instructors in their practice.
