Abstract: This session will showcase an innovative project between University Library, Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), and Information Technology Services (ITS) towards creating library presence in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). The goal of this collaborative work was to add information literacy content inside each course in Canvas, where students needed it the most. Canvas’ ability to easily integrate the third party educational tools via Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) functionality, made it possible to automatically select and populate appropriate library resources into each course in Canvas, which provided the students with easy access to the relevant library resources, research and information literacy guides, as well as ability to schedule library research consultations directly from the Library Resources page in Canvas.
