Abstract: Drawing upon the foundational theories of John Dewey, the authors examine a systematic approach to integrating Experiential Learning throughout the curricular design into an online graduate level Learning Design and Technology program. This paper presents Lindsey & Berger’s (2009) Universal Principles Model as a framework for integrating Experiential Learning. Included in this report: a description of the theoretical rationale, application of the model to course design, and a reflective narrative from both the instructor and student perspective. Both challenges and benefits to the integration of Experiential Learning are described.
